w00t! A week of finals and some preparatory work is what stands between me and what's promising to be the megafabulous summer of '06.
Yesterday I bought plane tickets. I'll be leaving for Calgary on May the 24th. Calgary is where Dina lives. Shortly thereafter, we'll embark on a three-week long road trip through the Rockies, Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Puget Sound and Seattle, back east to Glacier NP. Hot springs and backpacking, hostelling and camping, cities, plains and mountains... In a word: travel!
I have said I'd try to stop flying. I've also said I wouldn't blog. I'm working on the former (just not in this case) and happily rescinding the latter.
The basic dates have been set. What remains is logistical planning. What does it take to pull off a trip like this, without putting too many temporal structures in place? Ideas and anecdotes are more than welcome here.
